Gowling WLG acts for developers, contractors and institutional clients across various sectors, with particular expertise in PFI hand back, building safety, and international energy projects. The contentious practice is co-led by Gordon Bell, Sue Ryan, and Mike Stewart. Bell, a specialist in international arbitration, concentrates on the construction and energy sectors, advising owners, contractors, and engineers. Ryan lends her expertise in complex, technical construction, and engineering disputes, with experience in building and fire safety disputes. Meanwhile, Stewart offers insight into complex, high-value disputes from major construction and infrastructure projects, particularly in the Middle East. Legal director Mary Lindsay joined the team in late 2023 from Wikborg Rein.
