More informationMore information

De Brauw Blackstone Westbroek‘s energy team is highly regarded for its abilities handling the gamut of matters in both regulatory and transactional contexts. The integrated practice has a workload which consists of mandates involving electricity, oil and gas, and nuclear, as well as renewables such as wind, solar, hydrogen, biomass and heat. On the transactional side, key work includes advising the Port of Rotterdam on the first large CCS project in the Netherlands. Arjan Kleinhout, described as ’the best there is’, is at the team’s helm along with Martje Verhoeven-de Vries Lentsch, who is particularly adept at advising on commercial arbitration matters and complex cross-border litigation in energy contexts. On the regulatory side, team changes included the departures of senior associate Claire van der Hoeven in March 2023 and of partners Menno Stoffer in April 2023 and Nicolien Van Den Biggelaar in January 2023.
