AKD acts for clients based in the Netherlands and further afield in trade mark and copyright infringements, appearing before the Dutch and Benelux courts, in addition to arbitration proceedings. Furthermore, the firm also assists clients with trade mark prosecutions and advises on the IP aspects of corporate transactions. The team is led by copyright and database rights specialist Martin Hemmer and includes Huib Berendschot, who specialises in litigating parallel import and counterfeiting issues. Roderick Chalmers Hoynck van Papendrecht advises on licensing and distribution agreements, and takes on infringement cases. Bram Woltering handles cases of parallel trade and transit.
