Work highlights

  • Advising a group of private parking companies bringing a successful judicial review challenge of the decision of the Secretary of State for Levelling Up, Housing and Communities to remove the ability of these companies to recover debt recovery fees.
  • Representing client in successfully unwinding the transfer of a £4million property in central London and the first reported decision applying the analysis of the Judge in Ali v Dinc, that a constructive trust can arise in such circumstances.
  • Acted for the claimants in a successful non-disclosure injunction order, followed by an order for committal for breach against the respondent, and a further successful appeal to the Court of Appeal that the applicable sentence should be custodial, establishing important case-law on the appropriate sentence in such cases.
