Miranda & Amado’s banking and finance team remains active and well regarded in the market; it regularly advises on large cross-border transactions for high-profile domestic and international banks and financial institutions, as well as corporate clients. On the transactional side, the practice handles structured finance, loans and project finance and banking-sector M&A, and on the regulatory side, it offers considerable experience in the licensing of local banks. The practice is led by Gabriela Dañino, who brings expertise in cross-border finance and capital markets deals, and also heads the firm’s fintech practice. Juan Luis Avendaño offers strong support in acquisition finance and banking license issues, while Rafael Corzo is a key name for regulatory matters, bankruptcy issues and disputes. José Miguel Puiggros acts for borrowers in corporate and project financing; Enrique Felices handles project financing and capital markets matters; and Alvaro Del Valle advises on syndicated loans and acquisition financing. At the more junior end of the team, Lisbeth Benavides is a key associate, who focuses on corporate and bankruptcy law.
