Leveraging the firm's global network, the arbitration practice at CMS Grau is well-placed to handle an array of arbitral proceedings involving the public and private sectors. The team has experience representing domestic and international clients from the telecoms, energy and financial sectors, as well as handling corporate and commercial contract disputes. Four partners lead the team: Luis Alberto Liñán, who specialises in judicial and arbitration proceedings in the mining, commerce, finance and telecoms sectors; Karina Urquizo, who has noted expertise in civil, commercial and ICSID arbitrations; Javier Ferrero, who draws on experience representing clients in investment arbitrations before ICSID and international commercial arbitrations under the UNCITRAL rules; and Michelle Barclay, who advises companies on infrastructure projects and PPPs. Carlos Hamann specialises in natural resources and energy disputes; Ramón Huapaya, for his part, has experience in arbitral procedures related to government contracts. Associate Oscar Alejos is active on public arbitration processes involving public works disputes and goods and services contracts.
