Philippi Prietocarrizosa Ferrero DU & Uria’s environment-and-sustainable-development practice group leverages the broad experience of its practitioners, which covers both the public and private spheres. The team handles litigation before environmental agencies in addition to advising on compliance issues, with a particular focus on water-related matters. Julián Li manages the team, contributing expertise in regulatory matters and providing counsel to public and private entities. Senior associate Mariapía Torres is another key figure of the practice group, assisting with regulatory compliance matters and administrative sanctioning procedures. Since publication, the practice has been further strengthened with the arrival of Xennia Forno and Miguel Angel Soto - formerly of Rubio Leguía Normand - who both have substantial environmental experiece; effective as of November 2025.
