Punching above its numerical size, Rebaza, Alcázar & De Las Casas' small labour and employment team nevertheless delivers comprehensive legal advisory on complex labour issues - including collective bargaining and administrative inspections - as well as handling associated administrative and judicial litigation. The team is also well-versed in transactional labour matters, from due diligence to employee transfers, hiring and dismissals, policy development and training. Maria Haydee Zegarra advises on hiring and lay-offs, collective bargaining and outsourcing matters, among others, as well as originating defence strategies and in-house labour policies - particularly as regards sexual harassment. She co-leads the department with Omar Diaz, whose broad practice spans the development, review, and design of employment agreements, labour compliance, and the handling of labour disputes with unions. At associate level, primary support is provided by seniors Daniel Sánchez (who is recognised for defending highly complex labour disputes) and Michele Durand (hiring, compliance, disciplinary sanctions and investigations); mid-level associate Helga Irazola is also noted.
