Work highlights
- Representing Mastercard in a civil damages case brought by a plaintiff in Poland concerning interchange fees and an alleged violation of EU and Polish competition laws.
- Represented Jastrzębska Spółka Węglowa S.A., a Polish government-owned mining company, in a stand-alone private enforcement case against some of JSW’s suppliers.
- Representing Verdano Investment, its president of the board, and another company owned by the president, before the Competition Court and the Appellate Court in an appeal of the Polish Competition Authority’s decision finding that the charged parties had violated competition laws by reaching a horizontal agreement in which they allegedly divided the fitness market in Poland in violation of both Polish and EU competition laws.
