Infrastructure, projects, utilities and real estate-related disputes are the main areas of focus for Reed Smith‘s multi-jurisdictional disputes practice. The practice leads on litigation, mediation, and arbitration in these sectors, handling matters such as delay claims, joint venture and shareholder disputes, and debt recoveries for both private and national clients. Group lead Antonia Birt has experience in arbitration and alternative dispute resolution mechanisms, while James Willn specialises on advising on sanctions regimes and in asset recovery litigation. Sachin Kerur is a key contact on construction litigation and arbitration. Michelle Nelson departed the firm in June 2025.
