Mayer Brown

A longstanding leader in the appellate sphere, Mayer Brown is active across the full gamut of commercial and constitutional law matters, with a particularly prominent record in the financial services arena. The group possesses a strong bench of appellate specialists, with Washington DC-based Andrew Pincus regarded by some as ‘one of the deans of the Supreme Court bar’. Pincus recently secured a win for for the US Chamber of Commerce and the California Chamber of Commerce before the Ninth Circuit, in a decision affirming a preliminary injunction against a 2019 California anti-arbitration law. Nicole Saharsky, also in DC, co-heads the practice alongside Pincus; she has argued thirty cases before the US Supreme Court and recently persuaded SCOTUS, on behalf of The HuffingtonPost.com, to deny certiorari in a personal-jurisdiction case involving HuffPost.
