Work highlights
- Advised Alternative Transmission, Inc. on regulatory, transactional, policy and business judgment matters, including representation before FERC in regard to the proposed construction of an undersea cable that will transmit electricity from the US mainland to Puerto Rico.
- Advised Rayburn Country Electric Cooperative on strategic, crisis management, dispute, regulatory/PUCT and securitization matters in connection with the Winter Storm Event in February 2021 and related ERCOT market meltdown, which resulted in at least a $16bn overcharge to market participants and customers across Texas.
- Represented Tri-State Generation and Transmission, Inc. in a case about revising Tri-State’s membership rules in a way that would lead to the forfeiture of an exemption from federal jurisdiction, so that Tri-State could be regulated by FERC and not be multiple state PUCs.
