A&O Shearman’s team is competent in matters concerning a range of ABS types as well as CLOs. It is well-versed in securities backed by assets in the renewable energy, automotive and aviation space. It is also knowledgeable in credit card securitizations. On the CLO side of the practice, the firm advises arrangers, collateral managers and anchor investors. The team is led by John Hwang, Lawrence Berkovich and Chris Jackson. Hwang maintains a broad practice, advising on CLOs and esoteric securitizations, including securitizations of solar and auto loans and student loans. Berkovich compounds the CLO practice, working on syndicated, private credit and middle-market CLOs as well as CLO refinancings. Jackson handles clients across the market, from investors to issues to fund managers. Luke Maiman is a noted associate working on CLO warehousing, public and private market transactions and CLO restructurings.
