Work highlights
- The firm represented a defendant charged with robbery. The defendant, a taxi driver, pleaded guilty to two counts of robbery on a vulnerable 77 year old woman, for whom, on two separate occasions, he had lain in wait after she had won money in a casino. He was jailed for 4.5 years, a sentence appealed by the Attorney general as unduly lenient. Nadeem Majid appeared as advocate at the sentence and also at the Court of Appeal where the AG Reference was listed.
