Firms in the spotlight: ICT Legal Consulting
Whether through synergies, strategic partnerships or the opening of new subsidiaries, ICTLC – ICT Legal Consulting (ICTLC) continues to consolidate its role as a strategic partner for its clients, going beyond the role of legal advisor.
Last year, we continued to grow significantly, consolidating our global synergies, opening new offices in Nairobi (Kenya) and Riyadh (Kingdom of Saudi Arabia) and expanding our global presence in more than 60 countries through offices and alliances with top law firms, making us one of the largest Privacy and Data Protection/TMT department in the EU serving some of the world’s biggest brands in the fashion, banking and finance, and automotive industries, among others.
To further strengthen our global potential, a strategic partnership was signed with US-based Schellman, a global leader in information security, privacy auditing and certification. ICTLC is also an official partner of Europrivacy, the first pan-European GDPR certification scheme approved by the European Data Protection Board (EDPB) last October. We are currently supporting several clients to prepare for obtaining the GDPR Europrivacy certification.
In order to provide our clients with even more strategic and integrated advice, we constantly develop new services to assist them with all their privacy, data protection and cybersecurity needs. With ICT Cyber Consulting (ICTCC) we are launching a new compliance service, the DORA – Digital Operational Resilience Act – Gap Analysis and Compliance Action Plan service, which will help financial institutions meet the requirements of the new European regulation on digital resilience in the financial sector.
We have also developed our own cybersecurity risk assessment methodology, which we are integrating into our data protection and privacy advisory services, to provide more comprehensive support to our clients. The enhanced cybersecurity risk assessment methodology, which integrates data protection principles, helps our clients comply with GDPR obligations. This approach offers numerous benefits, such as improved security measures, privacy by design, legal compliance, increased trust and streamlined processes. By adopting this methodology, organizations can proactively manage cybersecurity risks, ensure GDPR compliance and foster a culture of data protection awareness, ultimately driving long-term success.
One of our key activities is the promotion of a culture of data protection, which we are very committed to. In April 2023, ICTLC sponsored and actively participated in the organization of the Privacy Symposium, a 5-day event that brought together privacy experts from around the globe to debate the future of privacy.
As we do every year, we continue to support various charitable initiatives, including the Italian National Anti-Cyberbullying Centre (CNAC), OdV Fiori di Campo, a Bologna-based association that raises funds to help children with physical and social difficulties, and UNICEF. Additionally, ICTCC collaborated with Academy Rapido, a company that aims to make online training more inclusive and effective, where ICTCC acted as “mentors” in a 3-month training project for refugees and economic migrants aged 19-35, offering them the opportunity to receive training and easier access to employment.
