Our lawyers are duly qualified to represent their clients in each of the respective jurisdictions of the Dutch Caribbean. In addition, five lawyers in our firm are admitted to the bar in the Netherlands as well and as such qualified to act in Dutch law matters and represent clients before the courts in the Netherlands.

The various offices of VANEPS throughout the Dutch Caribbean enable our ‘flying lawyers’ principle, used to ensure the best possible match between client and lawyer in each specific matter. It also enables us to collaborate more closely with our clients throughout the Dutch Caribbean and Surinam. Our Surinam Desk assists multinational companies in respect of their on- and offshore projects in Surinam.

In terms of other practice areas, we saw growth in several specific areas, such as Employment & Pensions and Governance, Risk & Compliance.  Our Intellectual Property team advises on a wide range of intellectual property and privacy law-related matters, while our patent and trademark office continue to manage extensive intellectual property portfolios of both national and international clients.
