Position
Deborah Festa leads Akin’s Structured Credit practice. One of the industry’s most seasoned lawyers, she has nearly 25 years of experience advising institutional investment managers, global investment firms and start-ups in connection with their capital raising, financing, investing, asset management, and SEC regulatory compliance activities. She is a veteran in the structured credit markets with a particular emphasis on the collateralized loan obligation (CLO) asset class.
Ms. Festa’s practice encompasses advising clients in the acquisition and divestiture of asset management businesses and the negotiation of subadvisory arrangements and joint ventures. She also advises clients in obtaining leverage to redeploy in various specialty finance and direct lending strategies. In addition, her practice covers counseling clients on the formation of marketplace lending platforms and investing in portfolios of such loans in both the primary and secondary markets.
