Position
Jean-François is Co-Managing Partner of Fieldfisher’s Brussels office and head of the dispute resolution team in Belgium.
Career
Jean-François is recognised as an expert in civil and commercial litigation and arbitration.
He also has a well-established practice in enforcement proceedings, provisional measures and asset recovery.
Jean-François has in-depth knowledge of the industrial and construction sectors, acting for government bodies, lenders, contractors, owners and developers. He regularly assists public institutions, such as STIB (public transport operator in Brussels) and major international groups such as Lafarge Holcim (world leading producer of cement and aggregates) or AGC GLASS (world leading producer of flat glass) covering all kinds of formal and informal Dispute Resolution (including mediation and ad hoc arbitration, such as DAB).
Jean-François also has significant experience of disputes relating to corporate affairs, asset management and post-transaction claims at domestic and international level. He has been quoted for successfully assisting a client in a landmark case in the sphere of asset management and investment and regularly advises public and private investors in all pre-contentious and contentious aspects relating to the protection of their assets and investments.
