Position

Emilia is an Of Counsel in the Privacy & Data Protection team in Warsaw.

Career

Emilia has been advising clients since 2004. She is passionate about technology, management of information, and security, as it is strongly related to her professional expertise.

She is experienced in supporting companies from almost all sectors. She works on GDPR compliance, designs marketing strategies and campaigns, as well as advises on information society services, fintech, and cloud computing services. She supports clients in their day-to-day commercial projects, including negotiating core business agreements in relation to their privacy aspects, and advising extensively in HR matters.

Emilia was involved in setting up the Warsaw office in 2008, where she worked as head of Privacy & Data Protection for Poland until 2013 before leaving for private practice. She re-joined the firm in 2018. She has also worked as an in-house lawyer and a data protection officer (DPO), which allowed her to bring a new, internal perspective to best respond to clients’ needs.

Emilia has authored numerous publications on data protection and privacy, and has also been a speaker at numerous training events and conferences.

She has been a member of the Warsaw Bar since 2010.

Education

Emilia graduated from the Faculty of Law and Administration at the University of Warsaw and the Faculty of English and European Law at University of Cambridge.
