Kavita specialises in a broad range of corporate finance transactions, both for public and private companies, including acquisitions, disposals, joint ventures, funding arrangements, restructurings and cross-border transactions.
She also provides bespoke services to investment funds from establishment and fundraising, ongoing operation, regulation and compliance to restructurings, mergers and returns to investors by combining legal, tax, regulatory and compliance advice.
Kavita is a non-executive director of The Nottingham Building Society and sits on the AIC VCT Technical Committee and the EIS Association Regulatory Committee. She also is one of the judges at the prestigious 2019 Growth Investor Awards.

Splitting her time between the London and Birmingham offices, Kavita Patel is a key member of the team, as a result of her work for funds clients, both in relation to structuring work and on subsequent downstream investments. Nottingham-based partner Duncan James also handles a considerable amount of VC matters, including work for family-run companies, in his role as national corporate head.
