Alison was admitted to the Bar in 2001, and since that time has practised exclusively in the employment jurisdiction.   Her background includes large firm and in-house local government experience.

Alison became a partner at Hesketh Henry in 2019, and provides advice on all aspects of employment law and health and safety at work, including both advisory and contentious matters.

She provides pragmatic and business-focused advice to employer, employee, and union clients in a wide range of industries,  including advice about disciplinary processes, collective bargaining, policies and procedures, employment agreements, personal grievances, health and safety compliance, and WorkSafe NZ investigations and prosecutions.  Her clients appreciate her practical advice, easy-going manner, and responsiveness.  Alison enjoys getting to know her clients' businesses, and working with them to help achieve their goals.  She has numerous clients that she has worked with for many years.

Alison frequently presents on employment law topics for external training providers, as well as for Hesketh Henry clients.
