Position

Eytan Epstein is one of the senior partners at M. Firon & Co.

Eytan received his law degree from the Faculty of Law at Tel Aviv University (LL.B. 1984) and, after being admitted to the Israel Bar in 1985, he worked in DG IV (Competition) in Brussels. He had established his law firm in 1989 which merged with M. Firon & Co. in 2015. Eytan served as lecturer and Assistant Professor at the Tel-Aviv University Law School and teaches EC Competition and International Trade Law at the Tel-Aviv Business College.

Eytan served as a member of the Governmental Committee for the preparation of Israel towards the European Union (1992), the Foreign Trade Committee of the Israel Industrialists’ Association, the Foreign Trade Committee of the Israel CPA Association and the Foreign Trade Committee of the Israel Chambers of Commerce. Eytan is a member of the International Bar Association (IBA) and had served until recently as Co-Chair of the International Sales Committee. As of 2002, Eytan is listed in the Law Library Research publication of the International Who’s Who Competition Lawyers [www.whoswholegal.com]. In 2008 Eytan was a member of a special task force formed by the IBA to comment on the Draft Non-Horizontal Merger Guidelines issued by the European Commission. Eytan is the representative of the Israeli Bar to the IBA, serves as acting Chair of the Israel Bar Association's Antitrust Committee and is its representative to the Knesset (the Israeli Parliament) with respect to all economic and antitrust issues.

Eytan practices corporate, commercial and trade law, and specializes in antitrust law. He has extensive experience dealing with competition issues before the Israeli Restrictive Practices Authority, and represents Israeli and foreign clients engaged in airline, telecommunications, insurance, computers, pharmaceuticals, retail and other industries.

Eytan is the author of the chapter on Israel in the Oceana Digest of Commercial Laws of the World (Kluwer Law, 2000), of the chapter on Israel in Warranties and Disclaimers (Kluwer Law and the IBA, 2002), of the chapter on Israel in Mergers & Acquisitions (Law Business Research, 2003) and of the chapter on Israel in The Private Competition Enforcement Review (Law Business Research, 2008). Eytan has published numerous articles on antitrust and on the legal environment of Israel’s foreign trade.
