Carey Olsen
Nick is Managing Partner of Carey Olsen’s Cayman Islands office. He advises on all aspects of Cayman Islands corporate law with a particular emphasis on investment funds (including fund financings), structured finance (including CLOs), joint ventures and general corporate and commercial matters. He also advises family offices and UHNWIs on the structuring, governance and regulation of family offices and private investment structures, as well as providing advice on the practical and legal aspects of physically relocating UHNWIs and their families to the Cayman Islands.

Scott is global head of Maples and Calder's Finance team and is based in the Maples Group's Cayman Islands office. He has extensive experience in CLOs and other structured finance transactions, including repack programmes, structured funds and fund derivative products. He also advises on fund financing, and is head of the CSX listing group in Cayman. Scott is a lead partner of the FATCA/CRS team, with a specific focus on the structured finance sector.

Tina is head of Maples and Calder's Finance team in the Maples Group's Cayman Islands office. She leads the Fund Finance practice and also has extensive experience in all aspects of banking, derivatives and securitisations. Tina represents hedge funds, private equity funds and banks on fund finance and other lending transactions, bank products, deal structures and on all types of secured transactions. She advises a large number of international associations and financial institutions on derivatives and issues surrounding related collateral packages in the context of insolvency in the Cayman Islands. She also has significant experience of general corporate and commercial matters and the establishment of offshore investment funds.
Maples Group
Jonathon is co-head of the Asset Finance practice in the Cayman Islands and has extensive experience of international capital markets and corporate finance transactions. He advises on all types of aircraft finance structures, with a particular focus on aircraft portfolio securitisations, large leasing platform establishments (including partnerships with fund sponsor investors), and on- and off-balance sheet commercial aircraft finance and leasing. In addition, Jonathon regularly acts on fund finance transactions (for both lenders and borrowers, including capital commitment subscription financing), as well as structured finance matters including CLOs and debt funds. Ramesh advises on corporate transactions relating to Cayman Islands entities (companies, partnerships, LLCs), such as take-overs/take-private, mergers, acquisitions, joint ventures, shareholder/investor arrangements, injection of capital, return of funds to investors, SPACs and IPOs. In his non-contentious or consensual restructuring practice, he advises upon the myriad of options from the Cayman Islands restructuring toolkit, including: debt to equity swaps, golden share rights, participations, warrants, options, redemptions, repurchases, surrenders, contributions, amalgamations, de-mergers and anything else relevant to achieve the intended goal. On finance and security transactions, Ramesh advises upon the granting of valid security, perfection, enforcement of security, repo transactions, swap transactions and Cayman Islands legal opinions.

Her area of practice also includes general corporate and commercial matters, with particular emphasis on local licencing and registration. Wanda also has experience in ship and aircraft finance and registration, licensing and equity formation, as well as local immigration, employment, trade and business and special economic zone registrations. She has experience working with export credit agencies in Europe and Latin America, and with airlines globally in the set-up and operation of Cayman Islands special purpose vehicles to participate in the acquisition, finance and leasing of aircraft.
