James Hyne

James is head of the corporate restructuring and insolvency group. He specialises in all areas of insolvency law and also gives lectures and seminars to corporate clients and other professionals (including the R3 Group and SESCA). James is one of the lead partners in the administration of Awal Bank in Bahrain, which has in excess of $2bn of creditor claims and ongoing litigation in numerous jurisdictions including the UK, Switzerland, US, Bahrain, Saudi Arabia and the Cayman Islands.

Lucy Trott

Senior Associate with extensive experience in the sphere of finance, restructuring and insolvency. Particular interest in insolvency-related litigation, including pursuing claims against former directors, fraud-related claims, applications for and in the context of administration, applications for recognition of foreign insolvency proceedings, CVA challenges and a wide range of bankruptcy-related applications.

Rebecca Chaplin

Rebecca helps clients with issues that may arise or have arisen in corporate and private insolvency situations. Her clients include insolvency practitioners, company directors and individuals at various stages of an insolvency process. She provides them with practical solutions in order to secure the best possible outcome in the most cost-effective way. Rebecca pursues all types of antecedent transactions on behalf of clients. Oliver Fitzpatrick

Oliver is a Partner and head of the market-leading and highly regarded Insolvency and Business Support team at Boyes Turner. He primarily acts for insolvency practitioners and provides specialist and pragmatic advice to clients on the full range of formal insolvency processes, both in a corporate and a personal context. Oliver also acts for company directors, companies, lenders and private individuals. Oliver's expertise is in not only in transactional and advisory matters, such asset realisation and protection work and dealing with an array of technical issues, but also with contentious insolvency cases that involve either challenges to appointments, antecedent transactions, asset preservation or cross boarder issues to name but a few.

A Partner in the commercial dispute resolution team, Joanna has particular expertise in high value restructuring and insolvency matters, disputes involving IT and technology contracts, and shareholder/corporate governance issues. Her insolvency work includes claims against directors, including misfeasance and wrongful trading, acting for insolvency practitioners, creditors (including landlords affected by CVAs) and companies in financial difficulties. She also has a wider commercial dispute resolution practice with a focus on shareholder and corporate governance issues, and manages litigation work for several of our larger corporate clients.

Rebecca Walker

Rebecca Walker is a Partner in the Restructuring & Insolvency team. Rebecca has worked at various top City and regional practices. She has also completed a 6-month secondment to a hedge fund and a short secondment to a German law firm. Rebecca handles complex restructuring and insolvencies, often involving an international or regulatory element. She is experienced in insolvency transactions (including pre-packaged administration sales), providing strategic advice to companies and their directors in financial difficulty and advising secured lenders on the enforcement of their security. She also regularly advises on how to structure corporate transactions and commercial arrangements to protect against counterparty insolvency risk. In addition to the above, Rebecca is well known for her expertise in solvent restructurings, including section 110 demergers and members’ voluntary liquidations.
