Position

Paul is the Senior Partner of the firm, having been there for 30 years.  Paul is a past LCCSA president and a respected member of the profession. He is often asked to comment on issues arising in cases that attract media attention and he has also been called as an expert witness to the House Of Lords science and technology committee in order to give evidence on how effective the admissibility of expert evidence is in the criminal justice system. Paul is also one of the solicitor representatives on the Lord Chief justice’s criminal procedure rules Committee.

Paul was instructed in the Hillsborough case, independent child abuse and other high profile enquiries. He also has extensive experience in relation to Inquests, including those arising from Grenfell.  He has in excess of 25 years’ experience of representing clients charged with all types of criminal offences. Paul is very approachable and is often very effective in bringing matters to a favourable resolution at the pre charge stage
