Maria de Deus Botelho has been a Lawyer since 2002 working mainly in the areas of commercial law, corporate and M&A, having developed, in parallel with her professional career, a relevant academic research.

She has an active role in representing national and international clients in various mergers and acquisitions and business and financial restructuring projects, due diligences, joint ventures, real estate investment, corporate governance matters and support for startups, being president and secretary of the general meeting in several companies and collective investment undertaking.

Particularly focused on the French market, she has been intensely involved in multiple transactions, providing legal advice on transnational transactions and on relevant investments involving different jurisdictions and representing national and international investors.

She has an extensive experience in current advisory and transactions in the corporate area in the pharmaceutical and health sectors, catering and distribution, telecommunications, construction, mining and footwear, real estate and services and online commerce.
