BonelliErede in cooperation with Bahaa-Eldin Law Office

Founded in 1999 from the merger of three Italian law firms, BonelliErede is one of the largest independent law firms in Italy, with offices in Milan, Rome, Genoa, Brussels, London, Cairo (in cooperation with Bahaa-Eldin Law Office), Addis Ababa (in cooperation with Lidet Abebe Tizazu Law Office) and Dubai. To better respond to clients’ needs, BonelliErede offers support through a number of specialised focus teams, which bring together the legal expertise of its professionals from various practice areas. BonelliErede comprises 89 partners, 30 of counsels, more than 400 associates – bringing the total, including staff, to over 800 people. Among its lawyers, it boasts 20 university professors.

BonelliErede currently has three strategic outposts in Africa and the Middle East: Cairo, Addis Ababa, and Dubai. The Cairo and Addis Ababa offices were established in 2016 and are the hub for the firm’s development plans in Africa — the Dubai office opened in 2017. In addition, thanks to a cooperation agreement with Zahaf & Partners, the firm is also present in Tripoli. BonelliErede has been present in Egypt since 2016 and, effective as of 1 July 2018, cooperates with the Egyptian law firm Bahaa-Eldin Law Office which is an integral part of the BonelliErede network.

Bahaa-Eldin Law Office in cooperation with BonelliErede assists international investors entering or operating in Egypt, as well as Egyptian corporations on all aspects of their legal needs, especially corporate, M&A, project finance, international taxation and transfer pricing, international arbitration and construction and is able to cover all key industrial sectors, building on the synergies and skills of BonelliErede's Focus Teams especially that of Infrastructure, Energy & Ecological Transition, Construction & Engineering and International Arbitration.

The team is composed of an integrated group of around 12 lawyers, and is led by Dr. Ziad Ahmed Bahaa-Eldin, Managing Partner at Bahaa-Eldin Law Office in cooperation with BonelliErede, and Gianfranco Veneziano, Partner at BonelliErede. The team also includes  Mohamed H. El Ehwany, Mostafa Moussa and Shorouk Genena, Partners at Bahaa-Eldin Law Office in cooperation with BonelliErede.

As part of the BonelliErede network, the Cairo office collaborates in total synergy with the other firm’s offices in Italy, Europe and the Middle East.
