Career

Krista Pisani Bencini is a Senior Associate at Fenech & Fenech Advocates. After qualifying as a lawyer from the University of Malta in 2003, she joined as a trainee associate at Fenech & Fenech Advocates working in various departments of the firm. In 2004, after being formally engaged as an Associate, she joined as a lawyer in the corporate services branch of the firm, providing primarily corporate and company secretarial services to clients as well as general legal advice on corporate and company law related issues. Shortly after completing the Masters degree in Financial Services at the University of Malta, she moved to the International Practice Department of the firm assisting primarily in the Financial Services and Commercial and Corporate Departments.

Krista Pisani Bencini has over 15 years’ experience practicing as a Maltese lawyer in the areas of corporate and commercial law, financial services legislation, company law and mergers and acquisitions. Krista has advised clients on various legal issues particularly in connection with financing transactions, financial services legislation, cross-border insolvency and legal due diligence matters.

In the context of acquisitions, on various occasions, she has headed and coordinated the firm’s legal team in connection with a number of legal due diligence exercises carried out by Fenech & Fenech Advocates with a view to providing clients with a comprehensive report covering a broad range of legal matters relative to the particular entity. On the transactional front, Krista advises clients primarily on the corporate matters surrounding said transactions and provides legal opinions on a broad array of related documentation. Related to her academic interest in European Cross Border issues, she has also advised clients in this respect and contributed to related publications over the past decade. In connection with her post graduate degree, she has also provided legal advice on compliance issues related to Maltese financial services legislation.
