Career

Vassilis initially   joined our firm in 2003 and became a partner in 2016. His main areas of practice include banking and financial regulation, NPLs, capital markets, debt restructuring, M&As and corporate law. Vassilis has extensive experience in Banking and Finance and has been involved in securitization and covered bond programs, as well as in the licensing of financial institutions from the local regulator.

He provides ongoing advice both to local and international clients on licensing and cross-border issues involving banking and investment services. Vassilis has vast experience advising on M&As projects, dealing with domestic and international clients, especially in the banking business market.

Furthermore Vassilis’s practice has covered a full range of regulatory and legal framework surrounding the Greek market of non-performing loans and the servicing thereof. In this context, he has acted in numerous projects advising clients on regulatory, compliance and data protection issues.

Vassilis among other important projects was also being involved as a lead partner and advised successfully Piraeus Bank in relation to the HAPS securitization transaction Sunrise I & II.

Clients describe him as “solution driven” who has the ability to explain difficult legal concepts in easy to understand terms.
