Position
David Telyas advises on a broad range of matters at the cutting edge of technology and law, with a particular focus on the digital business sphere and the interface between law and technology. His clients include both large Danish and international companies, for whom he handles matters relating to online platforms, software and emerging technologies such as NFTs and artificial intelligence.
David's primary areas of focus encompass data privacy and protection, intellectual property rights, consumer law, marketing law, and cookie law, particularly as these fields relate to websites, apps and other software solutions. He has assisted a significant number of Danish and foreign companies in connection with launches of new service and product offerings, compliance projects, M&A transactions involving technology, cases initiated by supervisory authorities, and disputes before the courts with digital aspects at their core.
His work further covers the interface between intellectual property law and competition law — including issues such as refusals to licence data and excessive licensing fees — an area in which David has developed particular depth of expertise. He holds a PhD in this field, the research from which was subsequently published by Wolters Kluwer.
