International Arbitration

José M. López Useros actively participates in investment arbitration proceedings and in international and national commercial arbitration proceedings. His areas of specialisation are construction, engineering, banking, transport, real estate and corporate law. He also advises on domestic litigation.

José M. López Useros was admitted to the Madrid Bar in 2003 and joined B. Cremades & Asociados in April 2006. He has focused his professional practice on national and international litigation, including arbitration. As a practising litigator, he has managed legal proceedings in all instances of the State (Courts of First Instance, Commercial Courts, Provincial Courts, Superior Courts of Justice, Supreme Court and Constitutional Court) in numerous civil/commercial and contentious-administrative judicial proceedings. Over the past decade, he has practised as party attorney and as secretary and/or assistant to the Arbitral Tribunal in national and international arbitration proceedings under the rules of the Court of Arbitration of Madrid (CAM), the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC), the International Centre for Settlement of Investment Disputes (ICSID), as well as ad hoc proceedings.

His areas of specialisation include a wide range of areas such as construction, engineering, supply contracts, banking, transport, real estate and corporate law.  He also advises on procedural law and litigation strategy in interrelated matters.

In 2021 Mr. López Useros was promoted from the position of Counsel to Partner.
