Senior Associate

Bert Van Herreweghe is a Senior Associate within our Regulatory practice.

His practice encompasses all aspects of administrative and public law, with a focus on environmental and planning and zoning law. He has specific expertise in expropriation law and heritage regulations. Bert advises and supports real estate promoters, developers, and governmental bodies, offering strategic guidance in project development throughout the project lifecycle. He has an extensive expertice in navigating complex proceedings before administrative authorities, the Council of State, the Council for Permit Disputes and the Beglian civil and criminal courts.

He is member of the editorial board of the Belgian journal of urban planning and development (""Tijdschrift voor ruimtelijke ordening en stedenbouw""), and the author of various articles and publications in his area of specialisation.

Bert holds a law degree from the University of Antwerp (UA 2009) where he specialised in public law.

He joined Liedekerke in 2009.
