Alan is a Solicitor, practising as part of the Employment team. Alan represents employers of all sizes and across all industries, advising on a wide range of contentious and non-contentious employment relation matters.

On the contentious side, Alan has acted in the defence of claims in employment-related proceedings and industrial relations matters in both the Workplace Relations Commission and the Labour Court and understands the critical importance of adopting a pragmatic and commercially sensible approach to defending these type of claims.

Alan has advised on redundancies, disciplinaries, grievances and wrongful and unfair dismissals. He has experience reviewing contracts of employment, company policies and procedures, employment related due diligence and has also negotiated severance agreements.

Alan is a regular contributor to the Legal Island’s email service.
