Jacob S. Bjønness-Jacobsen provides expertise in the form of strategic advice on the structuring of organisations and transactions, crisis management and dispute resolution, compliance and investigation. He has extensive experience from directorships, management roles, as well as teaching and tutoring students. He assists Grette’s clients on the organisation of contract negotiations, strategy and analysis, restructuring and refocusing processes, operational audits and investigations in various contexts. He is admitted to the Supreme Court and serves as counsel in company and contract law disputes before the courts and in arbitrations. Jacob is the author of the only textbook on investigations under corporate law in Norway, Gransking etter aksjelovene, published by Universitetsforlaget/Juridika in 2022. Together with Henning Brath, Jacob will in 2023 publish a commentary textbook on the the Act relating to Foundations. Furthermore, he has written the Norwegian contribution to WorldECR: Managing Investigations – Best practice in Government and Internal Investigations.

He holds a Bachelor of Economics and Astrophysics, and was formerly a financial analyst in London for a US Private Equity firm specialising in the acquisition and restructuring of property companies in the European market.

He has in-depth experience from both the supplier side and the customer side and experience from public activities.
