Partner on the Banking area of Deloitte Legal.

Manuel joined Deloitte Legal in July 2020. As an expert in financial regulation, he has a qualified background developed in the financial and real estate sectors. Manuel developed his career since 1992 as an Inspector in the General Direction of Supervision of the Bank of Spain. In 2009 he contributed to launch the Spanish Executive Resolution Banking Authority (FROB), of which he was the first Finance and Strategy Director. In 2012 led the constitution of the Company for the Management of Assets Arising from the Banking Restructuring (Sareb), of which was General Manager of Legal, Control and Risks until June 2020.

He holds a degree in Law and Economic and Business Sciences from the Pontifical University Comillas.

Manuel balances the business world with the academic world where he works as a professor of Accounting for Financial Institutions at Universidad Carlos III de Madrid and he is speakers in the Advanced Banking Law Program at IE University.
