Position

Francesco Mazzocchi specialises in Antitrust and Competition Law and EU Law.

He assists undertakings involved in proceedings before the European Commission and the EU courts relating to State aid, cartel and abuse of dominant position.

He has gained a significant experience in merger control, especially in multi-jurisdictional filings and regularly advises companies on anticompetitive behavior and in the assessment of cooperation, distribution and licensing agreements.

His expertise covers antitrust litigation, including actions for damages (private enforcement) and appeals of decisions by the Italian competition authority (AGCM) before the administrative courts.

Francesco regularly deals with cases relating to unfair commercial practices and consumer protection, both before the AGCM and the Italian courts.

Moreover, he assists clients on a broad range of EU law-related matters, including the EU Regulation on foreign direct investments and application thereof at a national level.

He is the author of several publications in his areas of expertise.
