The Wikborg Rein Singapore office was established in 2000 and specializes in shipping & offshore, focusing on dispute resolution (arbitration and litigation), casualty response/investigation as well as cross-border transactions and financing. The firm is a premier brand name within these sectors.

The Wikborg Rein Singapore office has been involved in some of the most significant casualties and maritime disputes in the market on both the wet and the dry side of the business and continues to be a trusted partner of many global blue water fleets, chartering operators, and insurers . We regularly accept large scale instructions from the P&I and Hull markets in relation to collisions, groundings and salvage work. We also advise on and resolve disputes involving all aspects of charterparties, bills of lading, COAs, insurance, shipbuilding, commodities, offshore and S&P matters. This means we have experience in running English law mediations and arbitrations of an international nature in Singapore, as well as arbitrations, mediations and High Court cases in London and arbitrations in Hong Kong.

Our Singapore office acts for some of the leading vessel owners and energy contractors, and handles a wide variety of projects including oil and gas projects, offshore renewable projects and vessel recycling. Our Singapore team advises on project tendering, vessel construction, EPCIC, financing, sale and purchase and leasing arrangements in respect of FSRUs, LNGCs, FLNG, FPSOs/FSOs, FSUs, vessels, drilling units and drillships.
