Position

Brice BRIEL is a partner and co-head of the Employment law – Social welfare law department.

He has developed particular expertise in:

collective bargaining (conclusion of collective agreements, working time, mandatory annual negotiations, incentives and profit-sharing, etc.), workforce management (employment contracts, legal monitoring for updating collective agreements, variable pay, disciplinary proceedings, terminations, mobility, etc.), social welfare, individual and collective grievances, challenges to Works Councils’ remits, acquisition audits.

He also assists employers on restructurings: collective redundancies, job-saving plans, effects of mergers on individual and collective labour relations.

He provides responsive and proactive advice to French companies and groups, subsidiaries of foreign groups and non-profits active in various sectors (manufacturing, chemicals, health, shipping, training, construction, software publishing, etc.)

Education

Brice graduated from Lyon III University, where he gained an LL.M/DJCE and DESS [postgraduate qualifications] in Business Law and a CES [specialist qualification] in Employment Law.
