Hanna Pohjola
Hanna advises clients on a broad range of contentious and non-contentious intellectual property matters, including litigation, administrative proceedings, and commercial contracts, as well as assignments related to marketing, unfair business practices, and food law.
Hanna has extensive experience in significant IP disputes both at the Finnish Market Court and higher courts, advising especially on marketing and trademark law. She regularly advises major trademark portfolio clients and also has extensive experience in advising on regulatory matters, particularly in the fields of pharmaceuticals, medical devices, consumer goods, and foods. Recent references include representing a high-profile client in proceedings before the CJEU.
Hanna joined Borenius in 2016 and has previously worked as an IP Lawyer at Finnish patent agencies. She has also gained experience as a trainee at another Finnish law firm, at the legal department of a major Finnish listed company, as well as in the Ministry of Employment and Economy in the area of industrial property rights.
Hanna also holds a Master of Laws degree from the University of California, Berkeley, with a specialization certificate in Law and Technology.
