Counsel Tuomas Tikkanen advises clients on a wide variety of financial transactions, including bank lending, bond financings, securitisations, project financing and debt based crowdfunding. He also regularly advises on financial restructurings and on financial regulatory and company law matters. In addition to these key competencies, he has experience in M&A transactions and real estate projects.

Before joining Borenius Attorneys Ltd in 2011, Tuomas worked at two other Finnish law firms and at a leading professional services network as a corporate law consultant. Tuomas is a recognised expert in financing law. He has actively participated in the preparation of new legislation on financial markets in Finland (including the Act on Bondholders’ Representative, the Crowdfunding Act and the recent reform of the Securities Market Act) and published several articles in the field of proprietary law.
