Caspar Barthel, LL.M. (Cape Town) is a Senior Associate in Fieldfisher´s Munich office and advises national and international companies in the areas of Corporate and Energy Law with a focus on Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A).

He advises on transactions, both on the buyer and on the seller side, as well as on (intra-group) restructuring and transformation processes, including cross-border mergers, corporate restructurings, joint ventures and venture capital. His particular expertise lies in advising on projects in the field of renewable energies.

He studied law in Passau and Munich. After his legal clerkship in Munich, he completed a Master's Degree (LL.M.) in Law at the University of Cape Town.

He runs a family-owned cattle farm in Namibia, which allows him to understand both entrepreneurial aspects and the global need for renewable energy development.
