Marieke van Schie specializes in commercial (retail stores and hotels) and residential leasing law. She also has extensive experience in the purchase and sale of real estate.

Marieke is a member of the editorial board of the Tijdschrift voor Huurrecht Bedrijfsruimte (Commercial Leasing Law Journal). She co-authored the books Huurrecht Woonruimte (Residential Leasing Law) and Commentaar Huurrecht (Comments on Leasing Law), as well as Boom Basics Huurrecht (Basics of Leasing Law). She also regularly gives courses on leasing law.

Marieke has been with Lexence since 2006. She studied law at Rijksuniversiteit Groningen and completed the postgraduate specialization course in leasing law at the Vereniging van Huurrecht Advocaten (Leasing Lawyers Association). Marieke was admitted to the Dutch Bar in 1994.
