Career

Judith Schulp specializes in the areas of employment termination law (collective and individual), reorganizations, dismissals (and buy-outs) of directors, corporate governance, fraud, employee co-determination, transfers of undertakings, disputes with shareholders and cross-border labor. Judith frequently advises on and handles disputes regarding co-determination and collective employment contracts. She regularly litigates before courts and arbitrators and is also an active mediator. Since 2020, Judith is also a deputy judge at the Court of Appeal of Arnhem-Leeuwarden.

Judith does pro bono work for the IMC Weekend School, Valid Express and dance4life. In addition, she is a member of the board of representatives (college van afgevaardigden) of The Netherlands Bar (Nederlandse orde van advocaten (NOvA)), a board member of the Amsterdam Grachtenfestival, and a supervisory board member of VluchtelingenWerk Nederland and Koninklijk Theater Carré. Judith speaks often at seminars, publishes regularly and is a co-author of Vademecum Burgerlijk Procesrecht Arbeidszaken, a handbook on civil procedural law in employment cases.

Education

Judith has been with Lexence since 2008. She started her career as an M&A lawyer and switched to employment law in 1997. Judith was admitted to the Dutch Bar in 1994.
