Introducing Haroon

Haroon Younis is a highly experienced solicitor, specialising in commercial contracts (particularly all forms of software and IT contracts) as well as commercial/corporate structures and transactions.

Haroon’s approach (which helps him stand apart from some other legal advisers) is to use his legal knowledge, and available AI and other technology, to help protect or improve his client’s profit and loss, balance sheet or equity value positions.

Advising businesses of all sizes, from owner-managed to international companies from across the UK and beyond, as well as entrepreneurs and investors, Haroon has acquired significant in-depth legal knowledge of a wide range of commercial and corporate matters, including:

Business structures: for protection or growth (and related supply chains) through governance (e.g. G.A.R.D & CoD training), group entities, partnerships, distribution, agencies and franchises. Commercial contracts for various sectors: Technology Media and Telecoms (TMT), Transport, Manufacturing, Healthcare, Education, Utilities and Financial Services. Intellectual Property (IP): reporting, licensing and assignments. Data Protection (DP): audits, mandatory contractual clauses and related advisory. Pre-investment commercial consultancy: helping business get ready for seed or other inward investment (including compliance with “marketing” requirements of Financial Promotion regulations). Pre-sale commercial consultancy (for business or company share sales): commercial audits for a “find and fix” service concerning ownership, contracts, IP, IT, DP and other commercial matters.

Experience

Since qualifying as a solicitor in 2002, Haroon has developed a strong international client and intermediary network in the UK, other parts of the EU, North America and the MENA region.

His client profiles include large corporations in the software and IT consultancy, manufacturing, transport and leisure industries, technology platform providers, equity raisers/investors, accountancy firms, PODDs (pharmacists, opticians, dentists, doctors) and various business start-ups, entrepreneurs and owner-managed businesses.

Haroon is also an affiliate member of The British Computer Society: the Chartered Institute for IT. This provides Haroon access to insights and contacts that help formulate and deliver sector-specific solutions.
