Career

Claire Rudkin specialises in dealing with all aspects of private client work including wills, living wills, powers of attorney, probate, contentious probate, estate and succession planning, estate administration, trusts, inheritance tax planning, asset protection, wealth management, elderly client issues, residential and nursing home care and funding, deputyship and other Court of Protection applications.

She has extensive experience in dealing with high-net-worth estates and complex trusts, where her accountancy training proves very useful. She deals with foreign domicile probate matters, as well as UK domicile clients with foreign assets. In addition, she oversees a direct will service to organisations such as the BMA, Oxfam and deVere Financial Advisors. Claire regularly presents to special interest groups, appears on local radio and writes for the local press.

Claire began training as a chartered accountant, passing the first year's exams before returning to the law at Freer Bouskell in Leicester. Claire qualified in 2000 and stayed for four years, moving on to Massers in Nottingham where she again stayed for a number of years before joining Flint Bishop LLP in 2006. Claire was made partner and head of the wills, probate, tax and trusts department in 2010.

Claire completed her degree in Accountancy and Law at the University of Derby, then completed her Common Professional Examination and Legal Practice Course at Staffordshire University.
