Position
Terese has many years’ experience in media and copyright law and intellectual property law in general, with particular focus on digital copyright and the challenges posed by new technology and business models. This involves advice to a large number of Danish and foreign TV stations, media companies and others on various uses of audiovisual material; for example:
– Negotiation, drafting and advicing regarding agreements with TV distributors on cable retransmission of TV and radio channels, including via IPTV and web-TV (internet/OTT), and wireless retransmission by satellite and via the digital terrestrial television network (DTT).
– Plus regarding agreements on other forms of exploitation, such as Start Over and catch-up services, N-PVR, portability, offline use and various on-demand offers by third parties of TV stations’ broadcast plus streaming services
– Advice on acquisition by TV stations of rights to both linear and non-linear use; third-party exploitation of rights; relevant EU legislation; the Nordic extended collective licence system; and contribution to the 2014 – plus the present 2021 - amendment of the Danish Copyright Act in that area.
–Advice on rights in the areas of linking, apps, use on the social media, etc. and rights clearance in the cross field between primary and third-party use.
Career
Attorney, partner, admitted to the High Court. Terese joined Lassen Ricard in 1998, was admitted to the bar in 2001 and appointed partner in 2005. Terese is a substitute member of the Danish Copyright Licence Tribunal and author of articles on various aspects of copyright in Danish and international journals. She is a ranked lawyer in both the Legal 500 and Chambers guides.

Terese Foged was born in 1972, graduated at law (Master of Laws) from the University of Aarhus (1998), and from the George Washington University Law School in Washington, DC, USA (LL.M.in intellectual property law) (2002), and is admitted to the High Court.
