Dr. Jan Bösing practices law in all areas of intellectual property, focusing on patent law. He represents clients in complex patent infringement proceedings, nullity proceedings before the German Federal Patent Court as well as opposition proceedings before the German Patent and Trade Mark Office and the European Patent Office. The sectors on which he focuses include the telecommunication and automotive industry, electronics and micromechanics.

Dr. Jan Bösing is very experienced with respect to standard-essential patents (SEPs) and their enforcement and/or defense against their assertion, including FRAND issues.

Moreover, he regularly advises clients on IP transfer and license agreements as well as on research and development projects in various technical fields.

Dr. Jan Bösing builds on comprehensive knowledge and expertise regarding intellectual property in the context of corporate transactions and restructuring.
