Career

He is Full Professor of Business Law at Bocconi University in Milan and has been for roughly ten years Full Professor of Law at Penn State Law School. He has directed the Max Planck Institute of Luxembourg on financial markets regulation and is currently a scientific member of this Institution. He taught corporate law and sec reg at numerous law schools around in Europe, Asia, and South America. He has worked for some leading Italian law firms and in addition to his activity as an attorney, has served as director or statutory auditor for several banking and financial corporations, listed and closely held. Marco Ventoruzzo has published extensively in Italian and English. He is an editor of several peer-reviewed law journals, including the Journal of Financial Regulation (Oxford), European Company and Financial Law Review, and the Italian academic journals Rivista delle società and Banca Impresa Società.

Education

He graduated, magna cum laude, in Economics and Business Administration at Bocconi University and holds a J.D., magna cum laude, from the State University of Milan. He received an LLM from the Yale Law School in 2000, a PhD in Corporate Law from the State University of Brescia and studied at Sorbonne University in Paris.
