Pérez-Llorca

Manuel joined Pérez-Llorca in 2023 as a Capital Markets partner in the Lisbon office of the firm.

Between 2017 and 2023 he led the capital markets and financial services team of a Portuguese law firm integrated in an international network. Prior to that, he worked for almost a decade in the capital markets practice area at the Lisbon and London offices of a prestigious international firm.

Manuel has a wealth of experience in different areas, having developed a strong practice in public and private M&A, corporate governance, corporate finance and capital markets transactions, both ECM and DCM. In this context, he has advised all types of clients in different forms of securities offerings, securitisations and structured finance transactions, as well as in portfolio acquisitions.

He is also a specialist in fund structuring, in particular for real estate and other private equity investments, having led the incorporation of several of the first and most relevant close-ended real estate investment companies (SICAFIs) in Portugal.

Manuel has also built extensive experience advising foreign and domestic financial institutions in various matters of strategic importance, including the setting up, development and reorganization of businesses in Portugal and abroad, and in providing them with general regulatory advice.

He is fluent in Portuguese, English and Spanish.
