GRAWE Banking Group, advised by E+H, undertakes reorganization

The GRAWE Banking Group, which is wholly owned by Grazer Wechselseitige Versicherung (GRAWE), has simplified its structure through two intra-group mergers in order to further increase efficiency in the Group.

The result is Schelhammer Capital Bank AG, an Austrian private bank with around EUR 300 million in eligible capital, total assets of around EUR 2.3 billion, and a customer volume under management of around EUR 23.9 billion. The merged bank employs around 200 staff.

The two mergers were subject to several regulatory procedures before the Financial Market Authority in Austria and the European Central Bank in Frankfurt, which were successfully completed within an ambitious time frame.

E+H advised GRAWE Bankengruppe on this project in terms of corporate and labor law, as well as banking regulatory implementation.
